I'm heading up with Erik S., Stephanie S., Alex H., and Andrea W.  Colin and his dad are meeting us there.  Jon S. and David C. are heading up, too so we'll probably meet up with them at some point during the rally.  The more the merrier!!

The last bigger event I remember in Lincoln was in 2012 at DuTeau Subaru and there was quite the cruise afterwards. I believe it was the scenic route to and around Branched Oak State Park.

Edit: 08/17/2017, Major maintanence was performed. Oil change, transmission/front diff, and rear diff fluids were replaced. When I bought the car there were no maintanence records on the car, so my initial goal is to put in all new fresh fluids, including, P/S, brake fluid, clutch, and coolant. I will keep you guys posted as well as post pictures!

I wish we had more events in Lincoln like we used to.  It's been several years since I've seen a meet hosted there outside of a weekly or bi-weekly get together.

News and Events / Ojibwe Forests Rally - 2017

August 25th-26th
Detroit Lakes, MN

The Ojibwe Forests Rally, run in Northwestern Minnesota, serves as the final round of the 2017 American Rally Association National Championship.  It's also the closest National-level rally within a reasonable driving distance to the Nebraska Subaru Owners Club, so we're getting a handful of fans together to go up and check it out!

We're leaving the Omaha Metro Area early on Thursday, August 25th.  Arriving the day before the rally will give us time to scout out some good spectator spots.  The rally is more spread out this year than before, with the Friday stages being over an hour and a half drive from Detroit Lakes, MN.  It will be important to maximize the amount of action we can see by planning out where to spectate ahead of time.  There is also a Spectator Guide that was recently released that should help plan things out.

I already know of a few folks going that I'll be driving up with on Thursday.  If you'd like to join your fellow NSOC members at any point during the rally, chime in and let us know so we can coordinate plans!

Welcome back!  I love the older boxier Foresters.  Sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult to get 'er back to full fighting strength.

Said you hadn't been on here in awhile.  What'd you have before?

Hey guys, been awhile since I've been on here, or even in the Subaru scene for awhile. But I just picked up a used 2006 Subaru Forester X, it is a 5 speed manual transmission, 165XXX on the clock.  Pretty clean cosmetically, mechanically not perfect (oil leaks, minor fixes here and there). I work at Subaru so I have parts and lifts at my disposal if anything were to happen. My plans for the car as of right now is it will be daily driven and fixed up piece by piece along the way. I will post a couple pics, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

News and Events / 2019 Subaru Ascent News & Rumors
« Last post by Reverend on August 11, 2017, 04:28:16 PM »
Well, since El Presidente is toting a Tribeca, I figured we should have a place for all the news on Subaru's upcoming 3rd-Row SUV: The 2019 Subaru Ascent

It's big, it's bold, and it's loaded with features.  Not to mention the new Ascent will be the first to feature a 2.4 liter Direct Injected Turbocharged 4-cylinder Boxer Engine... which will likely serve as the beating heart of the next-gen WRX STI in the future.  With 5,000 lbs of towing power, I can't imagine what an engine like that could do in a sports sedan!

I'm also kind of a fan of it's styling.  It's big and boxy like a Forester but it has some stylish Outback cues.  As a result, it fits in well with the family instead of looking like the step-sister with a beard.

Wanted - Buy or Trade / Looking for access port for 08 wrx

Looking for a v2 or v3 access port, sub003 for a 2008 wrx. Trying to get an unmarried used, cheap port. And if anyone knows the advantages of a v3 over a v2 other than the screen that would be appreciated!
