NSOC is now setup for Tapatalk
« on: November 04, 2010, 09:52:21 AM »
NSOC is now setup for Tapatalk.  :o

Support for Tapatalk was requested by a couple members so I got it setup today. So far I have heard one good review so figured I'd let you know. As I understand it, it basically makes it so your phone can browse our forum better with the Tapatalk app. No excessive horizontal scrolling to read posts via a browser anymore. Other features include ability to upload pictures from your device to your posts and ability to receive notifications and more.

Read Only is free, you have to pay for the app to get the full version, but I should be $2-3 at most. They currently support iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, and Nokia. Check out their website for more info. http://www.tapatalk.com

Thanks - Jon

Yay. I will surely visit the forum more often now.
NASIOC is also set up for Tapatalk, as is LegacyGT.com and I'm sure a lot other Subaru forums. The app is well worth the money.

Just loaded it to my iPhone 4.  It's pretty cool!  I like that it brings up the latest posts first and it's super easy to navigate.  I like it so far but have become so used to the full site that I'm gonna have to play with tapatalk a little more.

Very cool. Thanks for this. I can now browse from my Samsung Moment. Web browsing on this thing is painfully slow.

Somewhat, at least in my experience, because it only loads the bare minimum instead of the full-blown forum (graph interface etc). It is SO much easier to navigate though!
There was an update to the Tapatalk program on App Store literally moments ago. Some nice additions and tweaks.

Much much faster. Only 2 negatives:
1. Going to the full site on my phone now shows the really annoying "this site is android native. Click ok to learn more about tapatalk" popup.
2. It makes me want to pay for the full version and actually buy my first app.

Probably. Maybe less. I don't want apps to become my new latte factor. I've gone a year without buying one. Maybe after I get that emergency fund banked. I'm all for free ad-supported apps.

Love this comic strip.  It's so true.  After I saw it, I actually downloaded my first nonfree app.

And thanks, Jon, for the addition!

Tapatalk in the App Store is $2.99 and they also have a free version which is read-only (you can't post).

Old thread but I just started using tapatalk again and an having some issues. It doesn't display the name of the user, just the avatar. Also, I can only see the unread threads and can't browse the rest if the forums. Anyone else having issues?
