2011 Outback HID lights
« on: January 05, 2011, 12:49:23 PM »
I have been doing some research on them. I found out the ideal ones are the 6000kw lights. I dont know if there is a certain brand thats better then any of them ? I also am wondering if you are able to do it to this vehicle and if so is it plug and play or does it require someone with more technical capabilities then me.

If your car does not have HID's right now you will have to buy an HID kit with a ballast set. You can install them on almost anything now days, but finding a good quality set will be hard since they all claim the same stuff. Just make sure you get slim ballasts cause they're easy to mount. They're plug and play in a way but you have to be able to track your wires from your current light bulbs for the new ones to work.

I ordered from here, been real happy with them, had Russ do the install.

They get real good reviews around the forums.

x2.

They are not to hard to install though. I would rate it a 3/10; 2/10 being an oil change lol.
