Help coolant leak!
« on: June 08, 2011, 08:48:04 PM »
So I got out of my car to find this.

It looked like the trail only went as far up as that little green circle, which has coolant pooled in it.

I drove around town a little today, parked it when I got to work, then I left work and when I got home that's what i found.

I was a tad hard on it on the way home, hitting maybe 5k rpm? And shifting quickly.

It's a 98 Forester S with 157k.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
-Matt

check your hoses or your radiator may be cracked...

Well I found the leak, it's not the plastic and metal seam, but just the plastic itself. It's about an inch long vertical crack.
