Tank in Omaha (Explicit Motorsports), best local option, hands down.

I don't think anyone said he is the "only option" but he is surely the best option.  Tank does a great job out of the gate and has always offered to help me with corrections if I changed something or if I wanted to try something out.

Dude is seriously awesome.

Out of curiousity, what other tuners have you had experience with?

My moronic roommate tried, but he is a dolt.

The guy that had the car previously tried to tune it himself.

There was also an internet tune on the car.  It was way over-boosted and the AFI was way off as well as the idle and some other stuff I don't understand.

As far as tuners go, working with tank from Explicit Motorsports has been my best experience. I don't have extensive experience with tuners, but here goes:
1. Stage 2 self tune. Free. Really just flashed an OS rom from RomRaider. It was better than being untuned from when I bought the car, and gave me the chance to learn things, but was a little nerve wracking not knowing what I was doing and the tune left a lot to be desired.
2. Stage 2 etune. $$$ Used a national vendor from legacygt.com that everyone gave rave reviews. He sent me a base map to flash, then I'd do a log and send it to him, then a week later I'd get another map. It took an entire summer of tuning, and my car still knocked at the end of it. The tuner was not responsive and did not answer questions timely, and when he finally got around to it, he talked down to me and , and generally came across as an ##### .
2. Stage 2 tank. $$$ Excellent results. Answered all questions, taught me some things, cool guy to talk to, all around very positive experience.
3. Stage 3 tank. $$$ See above. Bought my parts from Explicit Motorsports and got a great deal.
4. Stage 3e tank. $$$ See above. Over the process, I made a new friend, we still talk about tuning, cars, go out to lunch, whatever. Tank is a good guy, who provides good tunes and great deals on parts and really takes the time to do right by his customers.

The combination of Explicit Motorsports for parts and tunes and Russ' Garage for installs, fixes, and maintenance is unbeatable in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
the bottom line is this, people just need to realize that when they buy cheap CO's [KW on down], they are buying cheap, poorly engineered shocks for the sake of having height adjust-ability. - whitetiger on legacygt.com

Word on the streets is that Jorge is no longer at P and L, just for member's FYI.  KC Modified in Kansas City did my WRX, Tank did my WRX after the new motor, and Tank did the current tune on my FXT.  I like Tank's tunes.  My car is not a super monster, but it is fast and he gained me quite a few MPG's that were non-existent.  I dont know who else does actual tunes in Omaha for subies, so I would recommend him for sure.

I already have an axle back, just waiting on a down pipe, and need to find a mid pipe. Might have found one already. Then just a up pipe and I'm set.

Bring your George tuned car next to my Evo (Tank tuned) and lets see who's the best tuner and to show you that Tank IS in fact one of the best tuners in the country..... Some people are all about the little stickers on the side of your window to brag about the $150 an hour they charge you to tune your car, not to mention you have to drive for 8hrs to get there. Tank is super cool, respects your car, does an outstanding job and he's right here in town if you need him. N'ough said.... Tekno likes boys
