Get a tune!

There are a few local options for Open-Source tuning (tank/jaz) or you can buy an off the shelf unit such as a Cobb AP.

how do you know you're running rich? do you have aftermarket parts causing the condition or has a sensor failed?
the bottom line is this, people just need to realize that when they buy cheap CO's [KW on down], they are buying cheap, poorly engineered shocks for the sake of having height adjust-ability. - whitetiger on legacygt.com

They're both based in the Omaha area (Bellvue) but I know tank has driven down to Lincoln to meet with someone.  Also, if it's running rich (and not lean), you shouldn't be in any danger driving it.

You should probably tell us year/model of your car, what's done to it, and if you've done anything recently that would make it run rich.

is it throwing an CEL or check engine codes? If so, those can be double checked at any auto part store, they have scanners to loan out. If you can pull the code and tell us the number as well, then I'm sure someone could voice a more accurate opinion..

From my understanding, subarus run richer then average cars by design, thats fine and normal. If you are running more rich then the average subaru, a cel code would be able to help diagnose this and would provide others with information needed to help you.

Get a second opinion/code and we can definitely get this taken care of that way.
