Powder coating wheels?
« on: November 28, 2012, 08:29:37 AM »
Does anyone know who does this in Lincoln and how much it usually runs?  How long does powder coating last, etc?  I really know nothing about it so if you have some advice I'd appreciate it. :subaru:

Deuces Wild Powder Coating is in Lincoln.  They did a set of '05 WRX wheels for me.  Refinished/removed the curb rash and powder coated for $250.  Very reasonable, super easy to get ahold of, just great to deal with.

I know your said Lincoln, but I highly recommend New Wave powder coating.

I cannot recommend Deuces Wild.  I had to have my CCW's redone at New Wave afterwards.  I had never seen drip marks on powder coating before.

Deuces wild did mine. It should last forever, however it seems bright neon colors fade out.

I had my truck frame and brothers wheels done at TMCO.  They do "normal" colors and are pretty reasonable priced.

Another company in Lincoln I have heard good things about, but never used is CrossLinc.

I can't recommend Trail Performance Coatings enough.  Josh and Jeremy are good people.  They've coated numerous items for myself as well as friends of mine.  They have a sense of urgency and the work performed is of high quality.   1115 Applewood Drive Papillion, NE 68046‎ (402) 932-7821

I can vouch for New Wave Powder Coating in Omaha as well. I have had two wheel sets done by Chris and the pricing and turn-around time are fantastic and quick.

Do you know what the cost of powder coating my brake calipers would cost, is it worth doing vs painting?

Can you powder coat a sway bar?

My whiteline rear sway bar a i bought used has paint that must have come off and is rusting.  I was hoping they could strip it and powder coat it but some sort of flex agent would need to be added so that as the bar twists, the coating wouldn't crack.
