If ELH reduced lag.

They do reduce lag and promote power everywhere over an UEL.

Personally, the ELH subaru's I've heard don't sound bad, nor do they sound like the bumble bees offered by Honda.  I think a good quality exhaust that's not loud with an ELH on our turbo flat fours is a great balance.  That having been said, I run the ported stock manifolds and grimmspeed xpipe, but my ewg drowns out any boxer rumble if I step into it.

I love the rumble.
When I hear it I strain my neck trying to find the Subaru.
But I understand "loving" the rumble.
But saying ELH "sucks" when in all reality, on a technical standpoint, it doesn't suck is opening the can full of bait.

We can get into semantics and such but we'd be kicking a dead horse.

I would be all up ons an ELH if I had money for purchase and coating.
But I don't so I'll enjoy the unique UELH rumble :)

Woah, easy on the horse comments.  My horse Gunny took offense to that.

Is Gunny deceased?
Then we will not be beating that horse ;)

Lol.  Nope Gunny is alive and well. Just didn't find your horse humor funny.  Lol he's a weird horse. If he could fit in the outback I'd take him to jbirds on Wednesdays.

I want ELH. I think this car sounds amazing. http://www.nebraska-subaru.com/forum/index.php?topic=16301.0
the bottom line is this, people just need to realize that when they buy cheap CO's [KW on down], they are buying cheap, poorly engineered shocks for the sake of having height adjust-ability. - whitetiger on legacygt.com

I thought I read in unibombers manifesto the headers increase lag over stock manifold, I will do more research!  #noob

LoL...as a noob that is where I get pointed all the time (the manifesto).  I try to search and not ask the same questions a million times, but the search can give bad answers too.  I appreciate the help!

Not to add flame here, but it seems like most regarded members of the NASIOC forums are rude, unhelpful, opinionated, and uninformed... :-[

Which was my reasoning behind this post on the first page:

You could try NASIOC...  I assure you that your responses would be a lot different.

You've peaked my interest on the performance gains of EL headers and they are a better performing solution, but I just don't like that sound.

^^^ This is why I use wrxforums.com.  But I do have a 3gwrx. ^^^

But seiously, I do love the ULH rumble of my Subie, but I see how ELH would be advantageous.  Am I going to swap my ULH, probably not, unless I get a good reason to add them later down my mod path.

I typically don't post over there but A lot of my searches take me there.  All my questions have already been asked and answered by others so I try to find the answers myself.  Can be tricky weighing through the misinformation though.

Any recommendations other than here?  I need more info on...everything, lol

The ricer in me likes the sound of UEL on Subies...even in they aren't as efficient.  As soon as I hear it in traffic I know what's nearby.   ;D
