Good Mechanic in Lincoln
« on: April 27, 2013, 09:42:15 AM »
Can anyone recommend a good Subaru specialist in Lincoln?  (Or don't we discuss such things on the forum?) I have all manner of small issues.

I live on the south side of town, but DuTeau is still a good distance if I'm trying to get to/from work.

Not sure of any Subaru specialists in Lincoln, but I can highly recommend Brewer's Auto.

Todd knows his way around pretty well any car and has helped me with the Impreza and my sister's 98 LGT.  Was also doing some work on a really nicely restored Brat this last fall.

I've had great luck with Autoworks, they are off South 40th and HWY 2. I wouldn't say they specialize in Subarus but they do know their stuff and are knowledgeable about Subaru quirks, such as the dp being too close to the p/s halfshaft and causing it to fail prematurely, etc.
I've also had them do some work on the wife's MINI and they've done a great job. The owner owns a Forester and his wife had a MINI at some point.

Autoworks is the only place in Lincoln I would even think about taking my Subaru to. They are right behind the Lincoln racquet club. They have done lots of work to my Subaru including a turbo replacement. Jeremey is the mechanic that usually worked on my subie and he always did great work. They even knew to take out the oil restriction filter from the new turbo.! Tell them that josh Ulozas sent you and they will take great care of you. Also I forgot I recommended my friend to go there and they replaced his clutch, his car was working perfectly when he got it back.

Don't go anywhere else.!!
