Cold Air Intake vs Short Ram 13BRZ
« on: December 21, 2013, 02:45:30 PM »
I'm wanting to add either cold air intake or short ram, I've got lots of websites that want to sell me both and I've done my research on the application of either one. However, what do you guys think?

I think it's a worthless mod unless you're going to upgrade the exhaust and get a tune at the same time.

^this

The "websites that want to sell you one" are doing just that: selling.  They'll do whatever tests they can to show you why you should buy one.  The most knowledgeable people I've spoken with in this group don't have a lot of good to say about air intakes outside of using the stock box.

I'd check this out POD Filters Mythbusted.

They even tested a Liberty RS which is basically a Legacy GT turbo.
