i need help finding this part
« on: August 30, 2015, 08:44:31 AM »
hello everyone. i need help trying to find where i can get the plastic piece that keeps the sun visor/mirror attached to the ceiling. one of the fins that keeps the sun visor locked in broke so the sun visor will sometime fall out completely onto my lap while im driving so i just took it down for safety reasons. i called my dealership but they said that part doesnt have an item number so id have to replace the whole sun visor costing $80 and i dont want to spend that much on a part that looks like it cost $3. can someone lend some advise?

Best bet would be finding a similar car in a junkyard that's getting parted-out.  That's what I've done for those "oh well I don't wanna replace the WHOLE thing" applications.  If there's nothing local, check car-part.com and see what's close by.

In case you're not in a hurry, you can put certain vehicles (model year, etc.) on a mailing list notification from the U-Pull It.

If you're in lincoln I can check the Omaha ones for you.
I've been going there anyway for the last few weeks.

Just shoot a pic of it and I'll check it against the one's they do have.
South O U-pullit has almost a dozen cars. Mostly legacies though.
There's an 05 impreza there but it's it's pretty gutted of all exciting parts.
I did just get a seat belt cover and wheel well liner off it last weekend.
you really should. it sounds better than two V8s having sex with a blowoff valve while a v12 tapes the whole thing.
