Antenna Plate Delete - Product Release
« on: September 08, 2008, 04:15:39 PM »
We introduce our newest product for Subaru Impreza models from 1996-2008; an Antenna Delete Plate. The purpose of this product is to replace the OEM whip-style antenna that many drivers dislike and therefore do not fully extend. Due to this, it is difficult to obtain quality radio coverage. The Antenna Delete Plate is made from black powder-coated aluminum that is fade-resistant to the sun. Installation is easy and the end result appearance is that of an OEM part. GrimmSpeed also offers a replacement antenna that is installed on the car front windshield and replaces the OEM antenna you have deleted. This optional antenna has a sleek finish and is well-hidden by the rearview mirror. As with all GrimmSpeed products, one-of-a-kind craftsmanship is behind every part and the best customer service available is provided.

Death to the whip-style antenna!!

AWESOME. I had an antennae delete on my old Civic, and have been hunting around for one for my WRX. I dunno, maybe I'm anal, but every time I walk out to my car and see the antennae sticking out there it bothers me.

hahaha

There are no visible wires after installation of the antenna. We have done a bunch of testing locally and we have come to the conclusion that this antenna works as well as the oem whip antenna when it is fully extended.

Will this replacement antenna work on the '05's with the rear window antenna? I have crappy reception ever since I got my windows tinted.
Currently Subaru-less :(

Question on the optional window mounted antenna just to make sure.

The silver wire coming off antenna part is a  ground, correct? and I'm assuming you guys just mounted it somewhere under headliner.

The wire at end that plugs into radio is a power source I need to splice into a line?

check to make sure that the tint shop didn't disconnect your antenna while working on the window...

when i had the evo done, they accidently put the rear wiper on the wrong way...

Where can you get the replacement antenna?

we dont have them individually on the website..just an option for the antenna delete. We can sell them separately for 29.99.

So if I wanted to buy the delete plate (24.99) and the antenna (29.99) it'd be 43 or whatever dollars?

if you want both just go to the delete plate page and chose the option at the bottom to get the antenna.

Let us know how it works out for you, 99, if you end up getting it.  I might just follow in your footsteps if you do.

Derek had one at one point. I hope to pick one up eventually since I have no radio in or planned for my car.

Awesome. I may buy one when I get paid. One thing that has always bothered me about these cars is the giant annoying antenna.
